In 2010, a group of community leaders thought group conversations would help people to speak openly about the impact of change in their neighbourhoods and about things that can be difficult to talk about, such as cultural differences, immigration, and the communal sense of loss that came from the decline of traditional industries.
Who is Your Neighbour? thinks frank conversations matter - a lot. Talking honestly is a thing people want to do - but it’s not always easy. Through facilitating - not leading - talking and listening, we aim to help people build and sustain communities resilient to change during challenging times.
In 2021. Between 2010 and 2021, we operated as an independent project under the umbrella of another charity, Sheffield Methodist District.
