Who is Your Neighbour? holds conversations.
Every conversation is different and unique because it is shaped by the people who join in. Sometimes, the conversations are troubling because we welcome difficult subjects like race, immigration and culture.
Our conversations take place across South Yorkshire in, around and in-between Barnsley, Doncaster, Sheffield and Rotherham.
We invite people to speak about their experiences and listen to others do the same. We invite them to share how things are for them, and how they are changing, in the places where they live and work.
We also offer training and consultancy, as well as conversation-facilitation, beyond South Yorkshire. Contact us if you are an organisation or individual interested in holding troubling but vital conversations in a community adjusting to change, or to explore ways of working with WiYN?
Safe, non-judgmental conversations matter. Talking frankly and listening with curiosity can help us all adapt to change and get along.

“We work in places where people aren’t so well off, they’ve had a difficult time, life’s hard and has been for some time. They have been battered, they’re struggling”
“We don’t shut people down. They may say things that are difficult to hear but we’re ok with that. Conversation can change and open up when you give people the space to say things.”
