We’re delighted to have been chosen as part of The Guardian’s charity appeal this year.
Who is Your Neighbour? holds conversations
We invite people to speak about their experiences and listen to others do the same. We invite them to share how things are for them, and how they are changing, in the places where they live and work. Listening with curiosity and speaking openly can help us all adapt to change and get along. Safe, non-judgmental conversations matter.
Our facilitated group conversations take place across South Yorkshire in, around and in-between Barnsley, Doncaster, Sheffield and Rotherham. We also offer training and consultancy nationally.
Every group conversation is different and unique because it is shaped by the people who join in. We welcome topics that can feel difficult to talk about - like cultural differences and immigration, and the loss that came from the decline of traditional industry. That decline hit our region hard and its impact is still felt in many places. Big issues like the cost-of-living crisis and increasing polarisation affect local people and, as a result, the group conversations we hold.
